We’ve had such a great week in the world of Folie. From great press, to signing off prototypes of our new Ribbed range, to celebrating the launch of our new studio. Here’s a little insight into our world.
Vogue
I’ve been reading Vogue since, well forever. As a teenager it was the epitome of cool, and I’d save all my pennies to buy a copy and plaster cut-out pictures across my bedroom walls. I just adored entering the fantasy world of Vogue and spent hours analysing every single page. So you can imagine how delighted I was when they got in touch to Interview me about our new studio and my love for Yorkshire. You can read the article here, and hear all about my favourite things.
The Folie Launch
On Friday we held the launch of the Folie Studio and got to celebrate with our closest friends and industry favourites. It was a complete joy to see so many happy faces enjoying each other’s company, sharing the Folie happiness and dancing!! I’m not sure about you, but one thing I really miss, since getting older is a distinct lack of dancing.
We began the evening with a pudding and Spritz party at the Folie Studio, before moving on to the Beautiful Still for an after hours cocktail party. Eton Mess (my absolute death row pudding) and French Dark Chocolate Mousse were served in our personal favourite, the Gigli Bowl from Bettina Ceramica
Drinks were kindly supplied by our amazing pals, the Lewes based ABYSS Brewing. We also enjoyed a fabulous non-alcoholic aperitivo from Botivo. We served the refreshing botanical drink with slices of mandarin, orange and rosemary. So delicious and would entirely recommend for those great nights and clear heads.
For the evening I wore the beautiful Billie coat from Shrimps, which is just the most perfect winter coat that received so many compliments. Paired with my favourite block heel knee high boots from Musier Paris, which are still going strong a few years on. It was just a wonderful evening to celebrate the Launch of our permanent home. Thanks pals x
Festive Folie
We are so looking forward to the festive period and are pleased to say that our baubles are back! With 2024 colours, they’re still beautifully hand turned on a lathe and lacquered in fabulous Folie Colours and finished with a bow.
We’re excited to say that we have our wonderful Wreath Workshops beginning next week. You will guided to make a sustainable wreath with Yorkshire grown foliage, and get to enjoy mulled wine, festive puddings and cakes and hot chocolates. Only a handful of tickets remain for the wonderful evening event. Tickets here
LONDON POP UP
We can not wait to come back to London and set up our Christmas pop up. We have sourced the most amazing collection of vintage and antique gifts. For those that will be entertaining this Christmas, we have a brilliant collection of festive homewares; from vintage ice buckets, cocktail glassware to dinnerware.
The brilliant Sarah Roberts has been busy making more ceramic cherries, hanging lemons and a surprise fruit! in time for the pop up. We will also stock a rare collection of vintage and antique furniture and homewares, and Made by Folie ranges in unique colourways. We would love you to join us for the pop up opening night from 6pm on Thursday 28th November for festive drinks and food. We’ll see you there!
